The
Under 15's shall once again be left in the good hands of
Željko Anicic this year. Anicic, who is a skilled and professional football
player of Serbian origins, used to play for Lija Athletic's Senior Squad
some time ago and currently plays in a top local Futsal
team. He is also very serious and dedicated when it comes
to coaching. Some of the boys already know him from the past season,
during which
he had also coached the
Under 15 category.
Željko Anicic
shall be aided by Mr. Raymond Formosa, who has also coached
within the Lija Youth Nursery, of which he is a very
active member. |

Last year the Lija/Iklin
Under 15 Squad had an excellent season,
securing promotion to Section 'B' after winning
11 matches and losing only 1. The
Under 15's were also declared as
Section 'C' Champions after tallying the most
points (33 points). We are sure that
this year, in Section 'B', the Under 15 Squad
will be up to a new challenge. One hopes that this
year's team will offer a stiff challenge
to its opponents. More importantly though, emphasis will be put on
proper education and positive mentality. This season
should be an experience in which the boys
will enjoy themselves in a friendly
environment during their training sessions held under the guidance of
two of our Nursery's experts in the field. |
